Yes, the Centre is licensed by Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), under Health Facility License Number MF3684. Our Scope of Services is telephone-based medical consultations by HAAD licensed doctors and nurses.

Am I eligible for Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre’s telemedicine services?
Our medical teleconsultation service is offered exclusively through Daman, to their Thiqa and Enhanced card holders only.
How do I pay for the teleconsultation?
As a Daman Enhanced or Thiqa card holder, teleconsultations are covered as per your insurance Schedule of Benefits. This means that the teleconsultation will be billed to Daman directly by the Centre, as with any doctor’s visit, without the need for you to provide any credit card details at any point before, during or after your call.
Who will I speak with when I call Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre?
You’ll first speak with a trained nurse who will check your eligibility as Daman Enhanced or Thiqa member, ask about your condition and note your personal details. Within 30 minutes, one of our qualified doctors, trained to diagnose medical conditions and give advice on a treatment plan over the phone, will call you to discuss your condition in more detail. All of our doctors and nurses are licensed by Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD), and trained by Medgate, Switzerland’s telemedicine leader, to offer high quality, thorough medical consultations and care.
What personal details will I be sharing?
We’ll first ask for your Daman insurance number. Once we’ve verified your eligibility as either a Daman Thiqa or Enhanced member, we’ll ask for your phone number, so our doctors easily can reach you within 30 minutes. We’ll also ask for your email address, to send you appointment reminders and recommendations to other providers if necessary, as per your preference.
Other personal details that the nurse or physician may ask of you will be for medical diagnosis purposes only.

Can the Centre’s doctors prescribe medications?
Our doctors are fully qualified to diagnose your condition, recommend a treatment plan, and provide advice on prescription and non-prescription medications which you may already have. Per the current regulatory healthcare framework the Centre cannot prescribe medications, however, if the outcome of your teleconsultation is a treatment plan that could require prescription medication, you’ll be given recommendations for providers authorized to prescribe medications for an in-person consultation. Our doctors will recommend a treatment plan for the period between your teleconsultation and when you can get to the recommended hospital or clinic.
